Design Inspired by: Florence Knoll
Our reproduction of the Florence Knoll sofa is based on a classic contemporary design. The linear silhouette and sleek design are perfectly suited for modern living. The body of the sofa is wrapped in fully aniline dyed leather with hand-tufted buttons and is framed on top of a hand polished stainless steel frame. Designed in 1954 as part of her Lounge Collection, it has the styling of a 60s piece, but still compliments contemporary styles of today. The frame is constructed of kiln-dried hardwood with Side and back wood paneling. All frames are hand crafted with a thin piece of wood for the side and back panels. We never use canvas like other manufacturers. Which is why our sofas are heavier than most others. The poly wrapped cushions keeps the leather from coming in direct contact with the foam, which can lead to the deterioration of the cushion. These can be upgraded to memory foam if you desire additional comfort. Our stainless steel is always polished to a nickel finish with a high shine. Not brushed. We use a 304 grade of steel, which is very sturdy.
